HOW WE PLAN YOUR TREATMENT
Every Treatment Starts With a Thorough Diagnosis.
At Dr. Ross Orthodontics, treatment planning begins with a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, including a detailed 3D analysis of your bite and joint health. We do this to ensure that what we recommend is precisely what your individual case requires.
This is not a cursory look before a plan is handed across a desk. It's a thorough, unhurried examination that gives Dr. Ross the full picture he needs to make recommendations you can trust, and gives you the information you need to feel confident in the path forward.

What Services Does Dr. Ross Orthodontics Provide?
Treatments
Whether you’re exploring options for your child or finally making time for yourself, here’s what we offer and what each treatment actually means for you.
Comprehensive Orthodontic Treatment
Full braces and clear aligner therapy for adolescents and adults.
Our most common treatment path, a fully personalized course of care using braces or clear aligners to correct alignment, improve bite function, and deliver lasting results. Paced around your life, planned around your case.
Comprehensive orthodontic treatment is appropriate for adolescents and adults looking to address misalignment, spacing, crowding, or bite issues. Dr. Ross begins with a thorough diagnostic evaluation, including a detailed look at your bite, jaws, and joint health, before recommending a treatment plan
Whether you choose braces, ceramic braces, or clear aligners, your treatment will be managed personally by Dr. Ross at every appointment. You’ll always know where you are in the process, what’s coming next, and why each step matters.
Treatment length varies by case. During your consultation, Dr. Ross will give you a clear, honest timeline based on your individual needs, not an estimate designed to get you in the chair.
Clear Ceramic Brackets
Discreet, high-performance braces.
All the clinical precision of traditional braces, with brackets that blend naturally with your teeth. A popular choice for anyone who wants exceptional results without the look of metal.
Clear ceramic brackets work exactly like traditional metal braces but are designed to be far less visible, making them a preferred option for adult patients who want the reliability of fixed braces with a more discreet appearance.
They’re particularly well-suited for cases that require precise control over tooth movement, and they perform consistently throughout treatment without the maintenance of removable aligners.
Dr. Ross will help you determine whether clear ceramic brackets are the right fit for your case during your initial consultation, along with an honest comparison of your options so you can make a decision that genuinely fits your life.
Clear Aligner Therapy
Removable, virtually invisible treatment for adolescents and adults.
A removable, nearly invisible alternative to traditional braces, ideal for patients who want flexibility alongside their treatment. Effective for a wide range of cases when properly planned and monitored.
Clear aligners are a series of custom-made, removable trays that gradually shift your teeth into alignment. They’re virtually invisible, can be removed for eating and cleaning, and are a comfortable option for many patients.
What matters most with aligner therapy is the quality of the planning behind it and the commitment to wearing them consistently. At Dr. Ross Orthodontics, every aligner case is designed and monitored personally by Dr. Ross, not delegated or managed remotely, to ensure your treatment stays on track and delivers the outcome you’re expecting.
Clear aligners are effective for a wide range of cases, though not every case is best suited to them. During your consultation, Dr. Ross will give you an honest assessment of whether aligners are the right fit for your specific needs. With modern advances in clear aligner technology more and more clinical presentations are now treatable with aligners.
Phase 1 / Early Intervention
Palate Expansion, Arch Development, & Developing Teeth Guidance for Children and Pre-Teens
Early orthodontic evaluation can identify developing issues before they become more complex, and in some cases, targeted intervention at the right time can simplify or reduce the treatment needed later.
Phase 1 treatment, sometimes called early intervention, is recommended for children usually between the ages of 7 and 10 when specific developing issues are identified that benefit from guidance during a child’s natural growth period.
Not every child needs Phase 1 treatment, and Dr. Ross will never recommend it unless your child’s individual case genuinely calls for it. When it is indicated, early intervention can help guide jaw development, create space for incoming permanent teeth, and address bite issues that are easier to correct now than later.
If your child doesn’t need treatment yet, Dr. Ross will tell you that clearly, along with what to watch for and when to come back. We believe informed parents make the best decisions for their children, and that starts with honest guidance.
Complex & Interdisciplinary Cases
Collaborative care for patients with more involved orthodontic needs.
Some cases require coordination across multiple specialties. Dr. Ross works closely with referring dentists, oral surgeons, and other dental specialists to ensure patients with complex needs receive fully integrated, carefully managed care.
Complex orthodontic cases, those involving significant skeletal discrepancies, missing teeth, jaw surgery, periodontal considerations, or surgical components, require a level of coordination and clinical judgment that goes beyond standard treatment planning.
Dr. Ross's approach prioritizes clear communication across your care team and a treatment plan that accounts for the full picture of your dental and orthodontic health.
If you’ve been told your case is complicated, or if you’ve had a previous orthodontic experience that didn’t deliver the results you expected, a consultation with Dr. Ross is a good place to start.
Full Mouth Reconstruction Planning
Long-term orthodontic coordination for complex adult cases.
For adults facing significant restorative or reconstructive dental work alongside orthodontic needs, Dr. Ross provides meticulous long-term treatment planning in close coordination with your broader dental team.
Full or partial oral reconstruction involves coordinating orthodontic treatment as part of a larger restorative plan, often alongside implants, crowns, bridges, or other significant dental treatment. The sequencing of care matters enormously in these cases, and getting it right requires an orthodontist who communicates clearly and plans thoroughly.
Dr. Ross works closely with your existing dental providers to ensure that orthodontic treatment is timed and executed in a way that supports, not complicates, the broader goals of your care. Every decision is documented, explained, and made with your long-term dental health as the priority.
